This Teaching Immersion into Yin Yoga creates space to explore the practice and experience of Yin Yoga, and has a strong emphasis on teaching skills so that you are confident to deliver this practice skilfully to your students.
Yin Yoga is a subtle and quiet practice and is a great complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles that are predominant today.
In this immersion, we will explore:
- Yin Sequencing and skills for teaching Yin Yoga
- Understanding the use of props and modifications in teaching Yin
- Deeper teaching skills of language usage and holding space
- The history and concepts of Yin Yoga, Chinese Meridian Theory
- Explore fascial and skeletal variations in Yin
- Meditation practices and their use in Yin
The course includes a mixture of experiential Yin Practice, lectures, group discussions and teaching practice exercises, ensuring you go away armed with everything you need to teach this wonderful and hugely popular style of yoga.
Each day will include experiential Yin Practice as well as Meditation Practices. You will be encouraged to start your own daily Meditation practice during the course as well as to make personal diary notes of your meditation.

12 hours to include assignment, “om” work, Yin practice, observation and/or teaching of Yin classes
Training hours can be used for continuing education, e.g. CPD points, for members of yoga organisations such as Yoga Alliance or British Wheel of Yoga.
This course is a welcome study immersion for new and established teachers to renew and to deepen their practice and study of anatomy, asana, pranayama, philosophy and consciousness. Also an opportunity for yoga teachers to refresh and enrich their teaching skills.
Open to dedicated yoga students wanting to deepen their understanding and practice of yoga, and health professionals keen to broaden their knowledge and skills.

What can I expect?

Dawn Wright
Dawn has over 25 years of teaching experience and part of training teachers since 2012. She is known for her supportive, practical and informative approach to training and provides Teacher Training across the spectrum, from Foundation Courses for new teachers, to qualified yoga teachers who want to expand their knowledge and skills.
Her journey with Yin Yoga started many years ago and she has studied extensively with internationally renowned teachers in this area including Sarah Powers, Bernie Clark, John Summers and has since trained hundreds of teachers around the UK in Teaching Yin Yoga.
